Clare & Keelan

Is it OK for the photographer to be so overwhelmed by a wedding that she doesn’t know where to start?  Probably when the B&G are amazing friends and you have just been a part of a very special wedding. You see, Clare and I go back a good 15 or so years.  We met at Uni. Don’t ask me how – she might remember – all I know is that after that moment my life was enriched with her Welsh humour and accent, which just so happen to complement each other perfectly.  But there’s more to Clare than her extreme wit. I have always known her as a person of very good taste and high principles, fiercely devoted to those she holds dear to her heart. But I had never truly witnessed it first hand before, in the presence of everyone she loves, and it was an absolute joy to witness. Best of all – we had an entire weekend to get to know everyone and soak in all the love!!

Having spent the last ten years living overseas, I have only ever met Keelan at weddings and Christenings, but I knew very quickly that he was someone very special – with him it has always been natural and effortless. He’s one of those guys that just gets on, without exception, with everybody.  I am so thrilled that he came into Clare’s life and by extension into the lives of those in her circle.

It meant the world to me that you trusted me with these very important photographs.  Thank you so much for being so welcoming and so generally awesome. On the 25th March you may have been Clare and Keelan, but to me and many others you will always be, affectionately, WB & Kee. Enjoy xoxox

baby William

These shots make me smile so much!  This wee man was so obliging – I have never had this much time to work with a newborn before.  And wow – doesn’t mum Leah look simply beautiful?

Melanie & Kenny

Everything about Melanie & Kenny’s wedding was absolutely gorgeous – with the exception of the weather!! That turned out to be a blessing in disguise as they had the foresight to book some fabulous indoor photo locations in which we could get creative.  I was honoured to second shoot for Shawna Coates for the first time in a number of months.  Melanie & Kenny, I wish you all the best for the future in which I know you will be surrounded by a fantastic support network of loving and fun-loving family and friends.

Zeal & Zen

A couple of months ago I had a fun shoot with my friend and colleague, Zoe, who wanted some portfolio pictures for her new website.  Zoe is a specialist in yoga therapy, personal training, and sports nutrition, and although she has worked as an environmental engineer for a number of years, she has always maintained her physical and spiritual sides as well as mental!  I am thrilled for Zoe that her excellent new website is now live and proud to say that much of the photography was done by me!  Of course without Zoe’s infectious personality and pretty amazing physique the pictures wouldn’t have turned out nearly as well, but I can honestly say she is one of the most down-to-earth and genuine people I know, and she is a true pro at what she does.  Zoe, I wish you all the best with Zeal & Zen.

K Boys

I have been dying to blog these images but had to wait until today as they were a Mother’s Day surprise! I had so much fun hanging out with these two at Pearce Park Estates last week – I think their personalities really shine in these photographs.

K boys – thanks so much for being such good sports – and Mrs. K – Happy Mother’s Day, I hope you like them.
